Meet Morgan

Morgan J. Nickles was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She’s a devoted mother to a teenage daughter, writer, painter, and, above all, a servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Although she was raised in a non-Christian household, a great moment occurred in her life that led her on a transformative walk toward faith in Christ.

Morgan has been part of several projects including being featured in a short film in 2020, the independent publication of her first book in 2022, and participating in solo and group art exhibitions for several years, all of which centered around the themes of identity and freedom. She sought to remind others that freedom exists beyond suffering and to encourage them to persevere, because freedom was on the way. Initially, the freedom she spoke of, centered on the individual giving themselves this freedom. However, through her relationship with Christ, she has learned that true freedom comes from faith in Him alone, and that failing to fully align one’s life with Scripture can lead to a persistent bondage mindset. With her renewed mindset in Christ, she is now led to point individuals, both believers and non-believers, to the only one who can release them from bondage, which is Jesus. This message is evident in everything she’s doing, including in her writing and paintings.

Waiting Area is a space for examination as Scripture teaches us to examine our hearts and thoughts according to the word of God. The apostle Paul states in the second letter to the church of Corinth, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves” (2 Cor 13:5). While many wait on the Lord, our hearts remain uncertain and faithless. Additionally, we avoid looking to Jesus because of what His light will reveal. It is in this revealing that the veil is lifted. We must use these moments to seek Him as waiting doesn’t mean to do nothing, but it calls us to walk boldly and courageously with the Lord, fully trusting in Him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. This Area is focused on reaching people through books and paintings for examination as they wait.
